One of my favourite things to make is infographics and this project was right up my alley. Healthspan (a health supplement distributer), asked me to put together an infographic highlighting all the difficulties one might face when swimming the channel from Dover to Calais. Healthspan already had an idea of what they wanted based on some of my previous work, to make an isometic slab of land with stats around it.
The most challenging part of the project was to design and organise the information in a visually exciting way while still making the information readable. The finished result was an online infographic, but was also made into a large format poster for Healthspan's offices.
This project was created in Photoshop using various stock images of beaches, sea and stone textures and then skewed and transformed to create a 3D looking land mass. But surprisingly there are no 3D elements where used to create the visuals for this infographic.
