If you have watched tv over the last few years, you may have seen Freeview's balloon ad campaign, where balloons that are branded after all their various channels escape from windows and float over the city.
Their printed ad campaign followed this theme and naturally over time, new channels were added to their collection and these needed to be designed, modelled and rendered in 3D. I was asked to help create some new channel designs when time was an issue. Below is an example of a finished cluster of balloons and the separate single balloon designs I was asked to create.
We started with basic sketches of the logo layout and balloon shaoe for each brand and once agreed, I created the 3D model using a mixture of Cinema4D and Photoshop.
